What the schools say :

We find that the most positive endorsement we can get is from the parents and schools we’ve worked with, and we’re pleased that so many people have said such nice things about us! Here’s what some principals have said recently :

Gardiner Street, Convent School

“We have had the benefit of Tennis4kids® for the past two years. The children in Senior Infants, First Classes and Second Classes all participated in the programme. We had boys and girls in our infant and first classes and they loved every minute of the indoor tennis lessons. Children were challenged each week as they built upon the previous week’s work with ease.

The programme was extremely well structured and the tutors worked wonderfully well with the children. High expectations were set for the children and the pace of the tennis class matched the ability of the class. Each week the child making the most effort was rewarded with a little plaque. Every child was a winner! Some low achieving children got the opportunity to show real sporting ability during the lessons. Children made remarkable progress during the two terms each year. Many of our children have continued to play at home. I am delighted to announce that we are entering our third year with the school tennis programme. Our own teachers are also learning how to teach the programme.

"I wholeheartedly recommend this school tennis programme for any school. The professionalism with which it is carried out is second to none, at the same time providing fun indoor activities children really enjoy.”

Eileen O' Doherty, Principal.

St Vincent’s Girls’ School

“I have found Annette and her team to be of the highest professional standard. Children who are challenged academically are given a chance to shine at something they enjoy. Annette stresses the team element of sport and allows the children to experience success at their own level. Annette and her team have great empathy with children and always inspire them to develop their full potential in terms of sport.”

Rita Tighe, Principal.

Scoil Chiaráin C.B.S.

We, in Scoil Chiaráin C.B.S., have had the pleasure of working with Tennis4kids® for the last three years. We play on an out-door tar macadam surface. As each tennis class is taken in small groups we find that pupils develop hand-eye co-ordination and balance very well.

We have a unit for children with Autism in the school and we find the tennis lessons excellent for integration purposes for many of the children in the unit. The children really look forward to every tennis class.

Not all children are “into” team sports and we feel Tennis4kids® caters well for all of these.

St Mary’s BNS Booterstown

“St Mary’s BNS Booterstown has enjoyed a very positive six year tennis coaching association with Annette Smith. During this time we have found her service to the school to be highly professional, punctual, well structured and child centered .Children look forward to their indoor tennis lessons, which are provided during the course of the school day as part of a modular P.E. programme.”

Robert O’Connor, Principal.

St Laurence O’Tooles GNS

“Tennis4kids® has been working in our school for two years and we are absolutely delighted with the tennis programme they have implemented. The children can’t wait for their tennis lessons and Annette and her team are thoroughly professional, reliable, encouraging and most importantly they know how to deal with children! Of all the programmes we have started in our school Tennis4kids® is probably the most rewarding for the children. The teachers and parents are delighted too, as classes are fun indoor activities children love to play.“

Aodhain O Riordain, Principal.

St Joseph’s Co–Ed Primary School, Dublin 3

“I have noticed a huge improvement in the children’s racket and ball skills and all other P.E. activities that require good hand/eye co-ordination. Because of the fun, non-competitive ways in which it is taught children who do not like participating in other sports seem to gain great pleasure from the tennis lessons.”

Seamus Murphy, Principal.

Our Lady of Mercy Convent School, Booterstown.

“The girls have had great enjoyment and love the team games. There has been a significant improvement in hand/eye co-ordination and a promotion of healthy activities and lifestyle.”

Mairin Benson, Principal.

St. Patricks Girls NS

“Earlier this year Tennis4kids® came to our school to introduce tennis to our Senior Infants, 1st and 2nd Classes. From the outset, I was extremely impressed by the professionalism and attention to detail of the  kids tennis coaching style and methods used. The participation level of every child involved was very high. What stood out for me, in particular, was the structured and well thought out approach to isolating and developing the individual motor skills associated with the basics of the game. This was done in a fun yet energetic series of drills and games. Little or nothing was left to chance in ensuring that each child had an understanding and appreciation of the basic skills of the game before approaching the rudiments of the game itself. For anyone contemplating the introduction of tennis in school at Primary School level, I would look no further than Tennis4kids®."

Martin Lynch, Principal
